We, at The Competition and Commercial Law Review (TCCLR), aim to stimulate and encourage discourse on topical issues pertaining to the sphere of competition law and other allied areas of corporate law. This platform is intended to be a junction, where academia and industry interact to yield effective solutions for contemporary issues in the field of competition and commercial law. TCCLR also aims to inculcate a culture of high-quality legal research in the field of competition and commercial laws and be an all-in-one web portal for practitioners and law students, keeping them abreast of the latest legal developments. The blog also intends to provide valuable insights into various legal intricacies and ways to tackle the possible predicaments through our flagship interview series, where we invite legal practitioners from across the world to share their experiences and suggestions for the budding lawyers.

Ms. Anisha Chand
Anisha Chand is currently a Partner in the Competition and Antitrust Practice Group at Khaitan & Co. Having graduated from Mumbai University, she has represented several clients across various sectors ranging from pharmaceuticals, automotive components, media and entertainment, financial services, agro-chemicals, cement, and information technology. A Resource Person (for merger control and abuse of dominance, with the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, she routinely writes for several domestic and international publications. She has been consistently recognized in Who's Who Legal- Future Leaders 2017, 2018, and 2019.
Dr. Rishab Gupta
Dr. Rishab Gupta, Partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, Mumbai is currently heading its international arbitration practice. After completing his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, he received his DPhil (Ph.D.) from Balliol College, Oxford University where he was a Rhodes Scholar. Qualified to practice in India, the US, and the UK, Dr. Gupta has been recognized by Who’s Who Legal 2018 and 2019 as a “future leader of arbitration.” He is among a few lawyers in India with a strong experience in investment treaty arbitration where he regularly acts for foreign investors against States.
Ms. Almitra Gupta
Ms. Almitra Gupta is currently an Associate at Linklaters, Singapore in their Equity and Debt Markets practice. Having graduated from Government Law College, Mumbai, she started her practice with the capital markets team of Juris Corp and then moved to Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas. Later, she pursued an Executive LLM from King's College London, in 2017 and then moved to the U.S. to pursue her LLM from University of Pennsylvania along with a Business and Law certificate program from The Wharton School. Recently, she got admitted to practice with the New York State Supreme Court.
Ms. Ashrita Prasad Kotha
Ms. Ashrita Prasad Kotha is currently an Assistant Professor at O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) and also a Ph.D. Candidate at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business), Austria. She has completed her BCL from the University of Oxford as a KC Mahindra Scholar and previously worked as an Associate at L&L Partners . She is also a recipient of the Abe Greenbaum Fellowship for 2018 by School of Taxation and Business Law, University of New South Wales. Known for being intellectually stimulating and a reason behind her students taking up an ardent interest in the complex taxation space, she has been awarded the Research Excellence Award by O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU).
Ms. Nandini Pathak
Nandini Pathak is a Leader of the Investment Funds Practice at Nishith Desai Associates. A merit-cum-means scholarship holder, she is also recognized as one of the distinguished alumni of Jindal Global Law School, Sonipat, Haryana (India). With a strong focus on VC / PE funds, she has advised several international and domestic clients on legal, regulatory and tax issues, fund governance. Her expertise includes tax-efficient structuring for India focused funds as well as LP negotiations. With a strong practice base on the fund formation side, she also regularly advises clients on the regulatory front including securities laws and exchange control.
Mr. Vinay Shukla
Mr. Shukla is currently a Senior Member of the Competition Law Practice at Nishith Desai Associates, a research-based international law firm. Having graduated from Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur, he has represented some of the ace investors in securing various merger approvals including green channel approvals from the CCI. He also represented an investor in the divestment of Reliance Jio’s telecom tower assets. Often seen providing his valuable insights in Business Standard on various changes in the antitrust regime, he has a strong inclination towards the working of competition laws in this era of the digital economy.
Mr. Akshay Pathak
Mr. Pathak is currently a Senior Associate at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas. He has previously worked with Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. In addition to his impeccable academic record, he has some commendable mooting achievements. He has also made his mark in publications with his articles featuring in various national and international journals of repute. Interestingly, he has also been the recipient of the Best Student twice in addition to winning several accolades in national seminars. Moreover, he has also judged the national rounds of prestigious moot court competitions such as Jessup & Stetson.
Ms. Hrideja Shah
Ms. Shah is a dual-qualified lawyer based in California and India. Having graduated from Jindal Global Law School, she completed Master of Laws from the University of California, Berkeley. Furthermore, she passed the much-coveted California Bar exam. Before joining University of California, Berkeley, she had worked at Crawford Bayley in their Intellectual Property and Capital Market teams. She also happens to be the Founder of Legal Sollis - An online legal forum dedicated to helping students, as well as professionals, improving their legal research & writing skills. She has also been the recipient of the Best Research award during her undergraduate days.
Mr. Saurav Bhaumik
Mr. Bhaumik is currently an Associate at Khaitan & Co. specializing in M&A transactions. Having graduated from NUSRL, he completed his MSc in Law and Finance from the University of Oxford, England. He has previously worked with top-tier law firms such as L&L Partners (Formerly Luthra & Luthra Law Offices) and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. He has also to his credit numerous articles published in various reputed journals and blogs. Few of his articles feature in highly reputed portals such as SAGE, Oxford Business Law Blog, Bloomberg Quint, Wolter Kluwers, Indian Business Law Journal, etc.
Ms. Swati Sharma
Ms. Sharma is currently working with the Competition Law team at P&A Law Offices. She has also worked as a Research Associate - Competition Law at the CUTS Institute for Regulation and Competition, CIRC and the National Law University, Delhi. She is an alumnus of Faculty of Law, Delhi University and has also been a part of various competition advocacy initiatives. Ms. Sharma is also engaged with the University of Central Lancashire where she contributes to India related research and publications focusing on trade and competition law issues.
Dibya is currently an Associate at Nishith Desai Associates in its Investment Funds practice team. Having graduated from the National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi in July 2020, Dibya boasts of an impressive CV with top tier law firm internships, national & international mooting achievements, and an enviable set of publications. With close to 25 publications, his articles feature in some of the world's most renowned blogs such as King's Student Law Review, Cambridge International Law Journal, Berkeley International Law Journal, Concurrences (New York), European Competition Law Review, IndiaCorpLaw, CorpLawAdviser, SCC Online, The Practical Lawyer, etc.
Having graduated from NUSRL, Vishal has previously worked with Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and is practicing across Courts and Tribunals in Delhi. He has an ardent interest in commercial laws serving as an inspiration behind founding this blog. He has several top-tier internship experiences in Competition Law. Given his flair for writing, he has a stellar publication record with his articles featuring in reputed international portals such as Cambridge International Law Journal, London School of Economics South Asia Blog, Berkeley International Law Journal, Kluwer Competition Law Blog, Concurrences (New York), European Competition Law Review, South Asia Journal, IndiaCorpLaw, Taxmann, etc. He also runs a poetry page by the name of blunt_poetry on Instagram.
Akshay, a graduate from NUSRL, is currently an Associate at Singh and Associates, Gurugram in its dispute resolution team. Along with an impeccable academic record, Akshay is credited with more than fifteen publications in various reputed journals/blogs such as Corporate Professional Today, SEBI and Corporate Law magazine, Society of International Law and Policy (NUJS), SCC Online, All India Reporter, Manupatra etc. He also runs a photography page by the name _blurred.lines__ on Instagram.
A final-year student at NUSRL, Rajarshi has an inclination towards ADR. A reader, an author, and an avid mooter, he has represented his University in several moot court competitions of international repute such as the 59th Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition, 10th Leiden Sarin International Air Law Moot and the 6th Herbert Smith Freehills Competition Law Moot. Interested in investment arbitration, he regularly writes for several national and international forums on this niche subject.
A final-year student at NUSRL. Navantak has a keen interest in the field of Intellectual Property Law and has interned at few reputed law firms. He has also completed numerous certified courses on Copyright and Trademarks, offered by University of Pennsylvania. Navantak has also made his mark in the publications space with his articles featuring in the reputed blogs such as Concurrences (New York), Taxmann, Manupatra, IJLPP etc. Being a tech geek, he has a strong inclination towards cyber law and development of information technology.
